01 / ABOUT THE PLACE

About this place

There is a particular pleasure in grilling meat at your own pace on the smokeless grill right in front of you. Yakiniku Like Kinshicho North Exit is on the second floor of a building, just up the stairs from the intersection by Kinshicho Station’s north exit. It is a popular spot for an easy solo yakiniku meal whenever the craving strikes.

A meal built around a platter

The menu centres on generous sets that bring together meat, rice, soup, kimchi and onion. One option pairs Like Karubi with skirt steak, where the appeal is the savoury richness of the meat’s fat. For a wider tasting, the Quattro Set brings together Like Karubi, skirt steak, Tajima chicken thigh and a large cut of beef tongue, making it easy to compare their different textures. For a more filling meal, the Like All-Star Set includes everything from a large cut of beef tongue and pork kalbi to beef offal.

Build your own combination with half-size portions

There is also the “Your Choice!! Yakiniku Set,” which starts with a rice set and lets you combine it with half-size portions of meat instead of sticking to a fixed meal. Add small portions of whichever meats appeal: Takumi Karubi or belly karubi with sauce, beef offal with miso sauce, or beef tongue with salt sauce, among others, to put together a meal that feels like your own. Toppings such as a raw egg or a little curry add another layer of flavour, right down to the last bite of rice.

Orders are served at a brisk pace, making this a handy choice for a quick lunch or an evening pause after work, with cold beer and freshly grilled meat.
